Hi everyone! My name is Kayse Courington. I am from a small town in Arkansas but life has brought me to a big city in Alabama! I graduated from college in 2013 and I have been at Allentown ever since. I have a hard working husband and two beautiful children. My daughter, Abigail, is 7 and my son, Silas, is 1. They keep me very busy outside the classroom!
I've always had a special connection with children. My whole teenage life I volunteered and babysat many kids. I went to college thinking I wanted to be a chemistry major but after a trip to Uganda Africa, I decided that teaching is my true calling. While in Africa I taught the students simple phonics and enjoyed every minute of it. From then on I decided I wanted to give my life to teach children academics and how to be the best citizen they can be!
Education runs in my family! My great grandmother taught 5 grade levels in a one room school house in a small community in Missouri. My dad is currently the superintendent of a smaller school system in Arkansas. I think education is in my blood!
I am so happy you've read a little of my story! If you're my student, I can't wait to hear and be a part of yours!
